Is there a collective term for fans of Blade Runner? We have X-Philes, Trekkies and such. Are BR are fans known as Runnerites or something?
I think either Bladies or Runners would suit us... ;)

"replicans"?
Cuchulainn- 01-15-2008
Are you a replican or a replican't?...

Is it me, or are these cool?
Sure, it's just a print of the logo or idea onto the same bag, but they do look nice. My favourite is the first one.

Yeah, the first is best, but the last would go well with my T-shirt. It's just a pity about the colour of the bags - black would have been better. In fact pretty much anything but yellow!
Homer- 01-17-2008
Where did you get that T-shirt?!?! I want one!
Anonymous- 01-18-2008
It came from www.lastexittonowhere.com - saw them advertised in Empire a few months ago and bought this one and a "Thing"-themed one.
They've some very cool designs on the site, and the Ts are excellent quality.

I still haven't seen the film yet, but I did have a quick peek at what was on the discs, the menu layout and such. I always do that for new DVDs, even if it's months before I see the film.
Anyway, the film started to play and the opening blurb come on the screen and something occurred to me (It was actually reading Homer and Aura' comments about Star Wars in the "what I watched thread" that prompted me to post though).
If you went and created a race of beings that were stronger and faster than you, and just as clever, would you really use them as slave labour? Seems like a recipe for disaster to me.
PrincessAura- 01-29-2008
It's pretty much the recipe for Terminator too though.
Sharky I love that T-Shirt!

Me wantee a T-Shirt and maybe one of those bags!! :D

To be fair, it's a pretty common theme in sci-fi terms. It's just an extension of the Frankenstein theory.

OK, this film needs the big screen. Just saw it at the cinema, and my God it looks phenomenal. Absolutely terrific, and has made me that little bit more excited about going HD when Blu-Ray finally win the war!
PrincessAura- 02-12-2008
Absolutely agreed! I fell in love with it all over again. It's simply breathtaking on the big screen.
Now for my TV to have a little accident....
Homer- 05-19-2008
Just an excuse to get this thread to the top of the page again, but I know someone who works for an unspecified insurance company. Since most insurances replace like for like, then they have to replace a Sony 28" (for instance) CRT TV with a brand new Sony 28" CRT TV. If you can't get a brand new Sony 28" CRT TV, or indeed any similar quality 28" CRT TV, then they'll replace it with a plasma screen...
Probably not an HD one tho... Still, nice upgrade for the cost of your excess!
Blade Runner rocks! You watched the FC yet, Gimli? :D
Donald McKinney- 09-30-2008
To anyone and everyone who likes Blade Runner, I've got some bad news...
At least it isn't a remake though. Then again, we have had remakes disguised as sequels... :scared3:
