Has anyone else caught site of the trailers for this yet? I have to say it looks bloody interesting! Synopsis for Episode One The excavation of 14th century medieval soldiers alongside Saracen coinage in Somerset leads to the hunt for the True Cross. Brilliant archaeologist Dr Gillian Magwilde has a passion for history and a hunger for the truth. She’s aided by her loyal team, forensic expert Dr Ben Ergha, eager new intern Viv Davis and the erudite but disreputable Professor Gregory Parton. Using their archaeological skills the team discover that the medieval soldiers were Knights Templar. Analysis of a small piece of cedar wood from the dig indicates that it’s 2,000 years old - and from the Holy Land. Could it be part of the True Cross? Gillian needs to buy time to survey the site but right wing religious extremist Edward Laygass, who believes that the country is at war for its Christian soul, acquires the land and declares it Holy Ground. Laygass calls on a cell of violent modern day crusaders to aid him in his quest, and the team find themselves in mortal danger. Oh yes. This looks great. It's from the same people who made Spooks, so it should be well done. Plus Julie Graham is in it, so I'm happy. :D

Hehe eye candy is always good. Apparently this has had a massive budget of around £20million, for a six episode series, that's not a bad amount.

I saw an ad for this a few weeks back and I can't wait, kinda like a brit version of Indiana Jones. I have high hopes for this one.

I managed to see this, what a complete waste of just about everything... a laughable script, some very suspect acting (especially from those Templar wannabes) and I'm not quite sure if it was fantastically bad or just plain awful. One line will stick with me for a long time... Use your archaeological imagination! :rofl:

I finally saw this tonight. Yes, it was very silly, but it was entertaining enough.

Oh dear. This is truly terrible and incredibly racist. Talk about playing to stereotypes!

It's insultingly bad isn't it. Mind you, I am very impressed that they managed to find all those bodies all together, in what appeared to be a tidal mudflat, and less than half a metre below the surface. That's good Archeology that is.

Yeah, that's impressive. But what would they have done without the dog to help them?
