Starts tonight on Five at 9pm. Anyone else looking forward? Fingers crossed that The miniature killer has managed to bump of that annoying bint Sara.

I hope not, than Gil will be even more sullen and withdrawn. I don't like Sara though. I hope series 8 can keep up the tense standards of 7. The previous few years had been lagging a bit.

See now I though season 7 has been the worst so far. I can't stand Sara, she's a bloody awful character.

I think I just liked the ongoing storyline. It was absurd, but helped keep the series on track I reckon. 5 and 6 were the low points for me. Some fantastic episodes (the series 5 finale for instance) but you no something's wrong when you start to prefer CSI : Miami over the original!

Ha! This is true. I hope this one gets good again, its getting hard to defend it.

See now I though season 7 has been the worst so far. I can't stand Sara, she's a bloody awful character. I agree 100% with this. I'd always rushed to download CSI as it broadcast in the States, but last season I just became disaffected with it. Think it was the closing shot of S6 with Gil wandering around in that kimono that sounded the death knoll for me! :shock: As for Sara, just kill her off ferchrissake! She threatened to leave a couple of years ago - now's the time to call her bluff. In all honesty, I'll probably just download the broadcasted eps and go for a marathon sitting at some stage soon (likewise with CSI:NY, which i've become equally bored with). Miami will never get a look-in, not as long as ol'wooden man Caruso is involved.

How dumb was Sara in this episode? So she manages to escape and is hiding unnoticed on the back seat. So instead of waiting for the car to stop and make a dash for it, she leaps onto the driver and tries to take control of the car. When that fails, she jumps from a moving vehicle! What a buffoon. Later, after extricating herself from an upturned car, she goes for a walkabout in the desert. Does she not know that it gets hot in the Nevada desert? She deserved to snuff it just for being so silly.

Not many shows could get away with having a head bounce down the road to the sound of The Blue Danube!

Just remembered this isn't on tonight and I can't say I'm at all bothered byt the fact. Worse season ever!

Well, I liked Sara (or Jorja Fox, to be precise), so I wasn't pleased at the ridiculous way she left the series, but the rest of the episodes weren't that great either. I had been watching the episodes American speed but then I just couldn't be bothered and waited for them to come around on Channel 5. I don't know if I'll bother watching season 9.

You liked Sara? Seriously? Yeah, but more because she was played by Jorja Fox, who I loved when she was in ER. I hated the Grissom/Sara storyline though. She'd have been much better suited to Sofia Curtis. :D ;)

I missed Sofia, and it looks like I'll be missing Warrick next year!

Actress Jorja Fox is heading back to top TV drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation just months after quitting the show. The star, who plays Sara Sidle on the hit series, walked away from the show last autumn - but she is now set to return for the third episode of the upcoming series. Confirming the news to America's TV Guide magazine, Fox says, "The kindest thing that the writers did for Sara Sidle was to walk her out (of the show) in one piece. "I had an amazing, beautiful, honourable, dignified exit." And she's thrilled she'll be back among her castmates: "I miss the people. When I left in October, it was so decisive - everybody got me a good-bye cake. "(But) it's a surprise for me to be back, especially this soon."
