Actually, I love that film Donnie! Well, not so much the film but the music.

Gotta love Zone Horror!

There Will be Blood - I have an irrational dislike of Daniel Day Lewis but I absolutely loved this. That is how good it is. A fantastically told story that builds slowly but is constantly involving. It is a movie on a grand scale and the score is simply fantastic. But PTA has a habit of getting good music in his films. The one thing that stops it being a 10 is the ending which I was not absolutely crazy about. But still a film that matches its hype. 9/10

First Man Into Space (1st view) - Typically 50s science fiction flick. Cocky -*test*-('")pilot Bill Edwards ignores mission control (which consist of 3 people) and travels 250 miles high in his one man craft. His ship gets hit by meteorite dust, so he ejects, but not before he gets covered in the stuff, creating a rock hard surface around him. Crash landing on Earth, he starts killing people in order to drink their blood (his has disappeared). Meanwhile his brother, his girlfriend and various army folk wonder what has happened to him. Like many sci-fi films of the time it's all complete hokum, but a poor script, woeful acting and some terrible effects make this a rather muted, generally unenjoyable affair - 2/5 I suspect Killer Tomatoes Eat France is much better!!

After reading the novel I wondered how anyonecould adapt it for film. This should be a mess but it's actually well done. Stylistically interesting, with a good cast and a great soundtrack, Rules of Attraction stands up to multiple viewings. 3/5

Screamy- 02-16-2008

Jumper Average film that has all the best bits in its trailer. Had potential to be better which is a shame 6/10

Jareth- 02-16-2008

There Will be Blood Powerful, bleak and fantastic, a sprawling epic with two dynamite performances and a very dark ending... truly fantastic 10/10

Ratatouille A distinctly average offering from Pixar. I'm used to seeing films from them that are much more distinctive.

A superb thriller with an excellent cast. Forest Whitaker gives an amazing performance and James McAvoy further cements his position as one of the most talented actors around today. The presence of Gillian Anderson doesn't hurt either! 4/5 Random tenuously linked fact - James McAvoy's uncle plastered the ceiling of my flat 2 weeks ago!

No Country For Old Men It was ok, bit of a strange, abrupt ending 4/10 Beowulf Really enjoyed this 8/10 Elizabeth The Golden Age Loved this film, though it did make it look like Sir. Walter Raleigh won the Armada without hardly a mention of Sir. Francis Drake 9/10

Atonement Liked it alot 7/10

Waterhorse - Above average family film. Good enjoyable hocum with a good cast of youngsters ably supported by David Morrissey and Ben Chaplin. 7/10

Now that I want to see. I love Dick King Smith, he's one of the best children's authors out there. I know the Funklet is looking forward to this one too.

Blade Runner First time I've ever watched it (unbelievably!) and I really enjoyed it. There were a few moments that confused me, but I thought it was more Rutger's film than Fords. 4.5/5
