It does, I think it's one of those ones, where when you watch it again knowing how it all pans out, you start spotting clues and little subtle plot points that now make more sense.

Accidental Husband Actually I like this a lot. It was miles better than PS I love you and that is mainly down Jeffrey Dean Morgan who stood out above the yawnfess that is Colin Firth 7/10 U2 3D Great concert but the 3D was just a gimmick that got lost in energy of the concert. 6/10

It does, I think it's one of those ones, where when you watch it again knowing how it all pans out, you start spotting clues and little subtle plot points that now make more sense. There was one part I didn't understand at all. I don't know whether it was a clue, but I remember being bewildered at the end of its significance nevertheless :D I hope a second viewing will explain it!

What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962), a really gripping examination of psychological torture, brilliantly directed by Robert Aldrich. Set mostly within one house, this has former child vaudeville star Baby Jane Hudson (Bette Davis), now reduced to looking after her cripped sister, ex-actress Blanche Hudson (Joan Crawford), Jane feels resentment for Blanche for becoming famous, whilst Jane's fame faded away, as a result, she wages a war of psychological terror upon her sister. A really gripping and suspensful film, (Hitchcock would have killed for something like this), Bette Davis brilliantly plays a right old bitch to her sister, played with naive coolness by Crawford. 4/5 Cape Fear (1991), Martin Scorsese does a remake, but it's one of the rare occasions where the remake is alot better than the original. Here, Robert De Niro plays convicted rapist Max Cady, who is released from prison after 14 years, and sets about stalking his former lawyer Sam Bowden (Nick Nolte) and his family (Jessica Lange and Juliette Lewis). A really gripping piece of work, probabily the closest thing to a horror movie Scorsese has ever done, De Niro plays a really loathesome character, but it is one of his best performances. Scorsese adds some nice touches, he casts Robert Mitchum, Gregory Peck and Martin Balsam, who were in the original movie, it's tightly shot by British cinematographer Freddie Francis, and even though it was set in North Carolina, it was shot entirely in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Oh, and or reference, this is the film The Simpsons made fun of with Sideshow Bob going after Bart, what a pity this didn't have a sequence with rakes!! :P 4/5

Semi Pro Amusing Will Ferrell comedy, not perfect and far too reliant on swearing, but very funny at points, and a fun 90 minutes 3/5

There Will Be Blood (2007), writer/director Paul Thomas Anderson returns, this time, teaming up with the great Daniel Day-Lewis in this visually compelling masterpiece. Day-Lewis plays Daniel Plainview, a silver prospector who in 1902, after discovering oil, soon becomes an oil baron. But, his greed soon alienates him from his workers, and his true self emerges. It's hard to describe this film in words, it's a modern day equivelant of those old Hollywood studio films of the 1940's and 50's. Day-Lewis is probabily the best actor around, (when he's working), his performance as Plainview is compelling and eventually terrifying. Yes, he did deserve his Oscar, and maybe the film deserved more... 5/5 For Your Consideration (2006), Christopher Guest returns with his usual gang, but for a change, he ditches his usual mockumentary style of filmmaking for this comedy. It has actors on the set of a low-budget Jewish drama Home for Purim, including Marilyn Hack (Catherine O'Hara) and Victor Allan Miller (Harry Shearer), who are led to believe that their performances in the film could be up for Oscars. The gangs all here, (Eugene Levy, Parker Posey, Michael McKean, Fred Willard, etc...), and there are some very moments in the film, but something isn't quite right, there's something a bit off with the film, maybe because it's not a mockumentary... 3/5

Dr. Strangelove - Sometimes films come with to big a reputation to judge objectively and I think this is a case in point. I think it is a good film and a great satire about the lunacy of war. I think the acting honors go to Scott and Hayden as the gung ho Generals. Sellers is fantastic in the role of the british officer and the president. However he ruins the film I feel in the role of Dr. Starngelove. Kubrick needed to reign him in and he didn't and the film is the poorer for it. 7/10 Michael Clayton - Very good film. Clooney must be one of the most consstent actors in cinema today. Both in terms of his ability and his film choices. This is a brilliant film about corporate greed and how it destroys the people who live off it. 9/10

In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale Very poor but funny. Cheesefest with the worse soundtrack in a film ever! 3/10 Semi Pro The third movie in Ferrell's sports trilogy and the worst. It's ok but compared to Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby and Blades of Glory its missing something. Not as much swearing as made out in the review above. André Benjamin stood out along with Will Arnett and Andrew Daly as the commentators 6/10

Ok, not as much swearing as Pulp Fiction, but there's still a few moments where it's unnecessary really
