Madge- 03-13-2008

I'm not there. Went to see this last night and I cant say I liked it much. It was a bit to arty and abstract for my taste and I just dont know that much about Dylan to know what and where it was all leading,if anywhere at all! Heath and Cate seem to be the predominant characters and yes Cate was excellent but I think I've seen her better. I did enjoy the music though especially the scenes with the young "Dylan" Marcus Carl Franklin. Its a 3 star film and no more.

Casablanca Not the perfect film like is made out but still pretty good and very chessy mainly down to the amount of times that the lines have been ripped off 6/10

No Country for Old Men....... Call me a stange asshole, but i expected more. At least it was better than that other overrated sh!t ......"The Departed" which also won Best Picture.

Cuchulainn- 03-14-2008

I agree with you Wags...The Departed was severely overrated shite...

wags- 03-14-2008

Oh tremendously overrated.... If Quentin Tarantino directs the Departed in an identical fashion it doesnt get an OSCAR last year.

Cuchulainn- 03-14-2008

Don't know about that... How's my favourite American?

wags- 03-14-2008

Im good Cuch! How you been? How is my favorite barbarian. Im digging the avtar, reminds me of something William Blake would have painted.

Cuchulainn- 03-14-2008

I'm as cool as can be despite the absence of my barbarian queen...working on it though!!

10,000 B.C. It felt like Apocalypto crossed with the TV program OC. It was just boring and waste of time. I don't recall the last time I was hoping the movie would end sooner rather then later. The only plus point was the Sabre tooth tiger and he was only in it for 5 mins. Worst movie so far this year and I will be surprised if it's not at the end of the year 2/10

The Jungle Book Mulan Two of Disney's finest, both classic and modern. Seven M... (Seven Men From Now, but I only made 33 minutes in, hence the incomplete title!)

Cuchulainn- 03-14-2008

About the 6th viewing of this... An entertaining and well made thriller, however it's utter arse compared to the GN... Still,I like it... 3.5/5

10,000 BC - Normally, having some idiots behind you kicking your chair would make for a bad cinematic experience... I have to thank them for keeping me awake through this piece of crap. For a movie that relies heavily on CGI, it was very poor and frankly embarrasing to watch. The story was non existent, as was the acting. The villians were so pantomimic I was expecting Biggins to pop up at any minute! I'm pretty certain they have mixed up civilisations, eras and evolution for this tale (not too brushed up on this matter so I can't tell for sure). As for the some of the setting, I couldn't get past that this was very obviously New Zealand, if you squinted, you could almost the Fellowship in the background! which brings me to another point. Geographically, this was impossible to pinpoint. I certainly didn't expect much from the man responsible for Independence Day, but this was just taking the mick. One to watch on dvd if at all.

10, 000 BC- Amusing epic adventure (not amusing as in comical, as in entertaining enough) with some good special effects, hardly amazing but did the job enough I guess 2.5/5 (5/10) Horton Hears a Who- Absolutely wonderful comedy animation with both Jim Carrey (my favourite) and Steve Carrell on top form aswell as the frankly-genius Will Arnett, and good turns from Seth Rogan aswell. Nice animation, hilarious gags in the background and up front and everywhere around. Loved it! 4.5/5 (8/10)

 you like everything Jareth
