Screamy- 03-24-2008

Seven Men from Now Boring and I wouldn't even put it in the top twenty westerns let alone the Hall of Fame on Empire. 4/10 Dazed and Confused Great teen movie which will slot into my teens top ten when I update it 8/10 The Mist This film is fucking insane and very bleak but i love it! :-o It was complex, entertaining and depressing. How the hell this hasn't had a cinema release yet is shocking but I will be going when it comes out I can't praise this enough. And I won't say much about that ending but WTF! 9/10

Nice one Screamy...with The Mist,I mean... The Empire Hall Of Fame is a fucking joke...I really wouldn't concern myself with it if I were you...

The Empire Hall Of Fame is a fucking joke...I really wouldn't concern myself with it if I were you... Oi, mister, less of that and more voting on it (preferably Annie Hall)!

I miss you over there, Cuch Lucky You (1st view) - Nice drama from Curtis Hanson. Eric Bana is good but Robert Duvall is the heart of the film, he always steals the films he is in without ever being showy. Had it concentrated on the relationship between these two and the gambling aspect, it would have worked better, but too much time was spent on a drippy romance with Drew Barrymore. Still a good film though - 4/5

I know, I know :D I'm just lamenting the glory days of Fun and Games. Brick Lane (1st view) - Quite a moving story about a Bangladeshi woman who moves to London due to an arranged marriage, and then chronicles her life 16 years later. It's quite depressing for the most part, but is well acted and heartfelt - 3/5

Catch Me If You Can (2002), Steven Spielberg made a break from big blockbuster films with dark overtones, with this light and bubbly comedy-drama about America's youngest con-man Frank Abagnale Jr. (Leonardo DiCaprio), who before he was 20, passed himself off as an airline pilot, a doctor and a lawyer, and making money with fake cheques. However, he soon has FBI agent Carl Hanratty (Tom Hanks), on his tail. It's good to see Spielberg attempt something as light as this, it's opening sets the tone perfectly, and he gives Leo probabily the best role of his career, and it captures the era of 1960's America, when everything was colourful, perfectly. 4/5

M - Did not enjoy it as much as I expected I would. It is atmospheric and Lorre is sublime as the pathetic child killer but the story veres all over the place and in the end I did not love it as mch as I hoped I would. 7/10 Toy Story 2 - Great fun. Especially the whole subplot with Buzz's enemy and all the jokes that bring. I still say the cowgirl Jess song about being left behind is one of the saddest moments in cinema history. 9/10 Logans Run - Looking really dated now. But Agutter is still hot. 7/10

Homer- 03-25-2008

Underrated Ridley Scott film.
