Street Kings - A mostly all star cast for this LA set story which was unengaging and overran its welcome. Reeves, although much improved from previous efforts, still can't hit the high notes and his more intense scenes were a bit embarrasing to watch. If you don't have an unlimited card, I'd recommend you wait for the dvd release.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall Another great movie from the Apatow stable. The casting has been done very well and its the first time Edward Scissorhands hasn't irritated me. Funniest movie so far this year. 9/10

Went to see In Bruges last night. Fantastic film, effortlessly switches between hilarious comedy, high drama and dark thriller then back to comedy again, with style and Panache. Easily Colin Farrells best performance yet and Ralph Fiennes is the best comedy cockney gangster to hit the screen since Michael Caine in The Italian Job. And probably the only film you'll see this year involving a drug taking racist dwarf and a conversation about fifty year old lollipop men who know karate! 5/5

Transformers (2007), the well loved toy/cartoon franchaise comes to the big screen in a live action film directed by Michael Bay and produced by Steven Spielberg. It's plot has humans, ranging from youngster Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) to the US Army in Qatar getting involved with the titular robots, the Autobots are here to protect us, whilst the Decepitcons are here to destroy us. A brainless summer action film, it's all the better for being one, and there's some great moments of action on display here, roll on the sequels!! 4/5

First two are awesome (particularly II).The third installment suffers from a fairly dull story and sloppy direction. Plus points: Jessica Biel Minus points:Dominic Purcell's dull-as-shit Dracula,Ryan Reynolds' 'wisecracks',Parker Posey,Triple H (actually the entire cast bar Snipes,Kristofferson and Biel...)

You forgot to mention the shameless plugging of mac products in the third one :D

Forgetting Sarah Marshall - The la-*test*-('") Apatow comedy. Jason Segel plays a dumpee who goes on holiday to Hawaii to get over the break up, only to find her there with the man she dumped him for. Brilliantly written and acted by Segel, this film has laugh out loud moments and a huge heart. I enjoyed it immensely and I cannot recommend it enough!

I am Legend - Bloody brilliant. First viewing and I've never read the book (didn't know there was one until Felix just mentioned it) and I sucessfully managed to avoid reading anything about it. 4/5

In Bruges (1st view) – Frequently hilarious film about two hitmen who go to Bruges after a botched job. The laughs are well balanced with a dramatic storyline, and the whole thing ends up being strangely moving. Colin Farrell has never been better; Brendan Gleason reminds us once again of how good an actor he is (and make us wonder why he rarely gets parts as good as this) and Ralph Fiennes as a cockney mob boss needs to be seen to be believed. Superb – 4/5 The Orphanage (1st view) – A wonderfully chilling and surprising emotional horror/ghost story. Reminiscent of films such as The Haunting, The Sixth Sense and The Others, yet never anything less than original. Belén Rueda, perhaps best known for her role in The Sea Inside, was exceptional; keeping the film grounded but giving it it’s heart as well. – 4/5 Tell No One (1st view) – Harlan Coben’s novel gets a French makeover in this tense and exciting thriller. François Cluzet plays the doctor whose wife is murdered, only for her to contact him 8 years later. The story twists and turns keeping you guessing right till the end. Great stuff – 4/5 The Heartbreak Kid (1st view) - Another bad taste comedy from the Farrelly Brothers, and another film in which Ben Stiller plays, well, Ben Stiller. It has some good laughs, but this is mostly forgettable. Thank goodness for the rather lovely Michelle Monaghan, who manages to bring some life to the film, and keep an eye out for Malin Akerman in next years Watchmen (I hope it’s good!!!) – 3/5

Run Fat Boy Run – It was ok. Pretty forgettable in all honesty. Firstly Pegg is not really fat. Which I realise is pedantic but that’s me. I also just cannot warm to Thandie Newton. Whenever I see her I think. You ruined John Carter as a character and I find that impossible to forgive. 6/10 Knocked Up – I really enjoyed this film. It was a lot more intelligient than I thought it would be. The two leads were really likeable and the ensemble cast were superb. 8/10 Shoot ‘em Up – Loved it. Clive Owen is such a cool actor and Giamatti is always good value. Great, great fun. 8/10 The Golden Compass – Awful, awful film. Hated it. 2/10

Great stuff – 4/5 Did you not think there were too many twists in this film Gimli. They got on my nerves after a while. Just felt it was too convuluted in the end.
