We have it in a quite a few pubs here in Brum. Paticulary The Old Joint Stock which is a pub that speacialises in ales.
Think I've seen it in Sainsburys a couple of times as well.

When my folks moved back to Newark, I discovered that the pub there is actually called the Hobgoblin, of the Wychwood brewery chain. Because of certain pre-school rugrats, I still haven't been in there - my dad doesn't 'do' pubs anymore. I will one day, tho. Just to have Hobgoblin on tap, rather than bottled!

May have to come and visit you in Newark just to try that pub :D

It's an old Tudor building which makes it all the more appealing too. shame I don't actually live there. There's precious little beauty to newport's building, bar one.

I'm a big fan of Guinness during the winter months, but i generally switch to cider once it gets sunny.
Talking about cider in the sunshine is making me thirsty

Christmas day I tried Baileys and Tia Maria with ice, it was delicious. I'm a total lightweight but this didn't even get me remotely tiddly
I've also been drinking lager lately
I like sweet cider too
dragonfall- 01-09-2008
Have you ever tried Tia Maria with fresh orange juice? It's like drinking an alcoholic jaffa cake. Lovely :D
PrincessAura- 01-09-2008
Mmmmm yes, but oh so much more warming.
Nicola- 01-09-2008
No I haven't tried that, it sounds delicious :w00t:

Last night I was introduced to Disaranno. Tis a lovely Almond Liquer, much like I used to drink in Portugal, but a bit sweeter with a bit more kick to it as well. It was especially tasty over ice.
PrincessAura- 01-09-2008
Mmmmm Disaronno Amaretto, one of the nicest drinks out there. I guarantee a bottle every year at Christmas from my nan, I guarantee it's gone by New Year's Eve!
Bobatim- 01-09-2008
Lol. Went and brought a bottle today. Don't think it's gonna last too long as it my mom seems to have taken a liking to it as well.

Cherry Brandy + Diet Coke = Alkyholic Cherry Coke. It's very, very dangerous. You can't even taste the alcohol. And it tastes like the proper Cherry Coke taste, not this new-fangled 'real cherry' Diet Cherry Coke crap.
(Although, you use Diet Coke, or the regular Coke will overpower the brandy.)
here's another one which is particularly delicious.
Skittle Vodka
Take 1 pack of skittles. Remove the green ones*.
Take one bottle of vodka, and empty about a fifth into a freezable, sealable container. Put the green skittles with it.
Take the rest of the skittles and pour into the bottle of 4/5ths remaining vodka.
Put both bottle and container in the freezer overnight.
In the morning remove to defrost.
Put in fridge to chill ready for the evening.
Enjoy. It's like alcoholic fruit punch, except, with pure alcohol. Plus the skittles just adds to the sugar content, so you get an alcoholic and sugar kick. It's ker-ra-zy.
*- If you don't remove the green ones, then you get a disgusting brown coloured drink that looks appetising not. You also get a nice lime-flavoured drink as well.

When I used to drink, it was red wine for me.

Coke (none of that diet shite)
I love Diet Coke, regular Coke makes my teeth feel weird.
