I guess they felt he might have looked the part but he couldn't 'act' it.

I'm definitely not sure about Liev Schreiber.
I'm more concerned about Taylor Kitsch. Gambit is probably my favourite character in the x-men universe, and Kitsch really just doesn't look right to me. Though i'll gladly eat those words if he does put in a good turn.
I think that Brad Pitt would actually make a pretty good Gambit. Though he'd be a bit old for the role now.

You're right, he doesn't look the part, but then I haven't a clue who he is anyway!

I don't know who the actor or the character are...

How can you not know Gambit?

Babe,the last time I read an X-Men comic I was 10...

A mutant, Gambit possesses the ability to manipulate kinetic energy. He is also skilled in card throwing, hand-to-hand combat, and the use of a staff.
A professional thief, few X-Men trusted Gambit when he first joined the group, a source of stress between him and his longtime on-again, off-again love interest Rogue.
As the X-Men's self-described ladies man, Gambit has shown a more vulnerable side of himself over the years, especially when it comes to Rogue. Gambit remains fiercely proud of his Louisiana heritage, and speaks in a very thick, Cajun accent.

Not feeling it...
This how ever could have been interesting...
Cuchulainn- 12-02-2008
OK,now I don't know the character, the actor playing the character and Bubba's preferred choice for the character that I don't know...

Josh Holloway, he was in Lost, and he's not my preferred choice but apparently he was in talks for the roll and my have been a slight improvement.
